World Premiere – Just 8 Days Away

The World Premiere of A Christmas Snow is only 8 days away and it’s shaping up to be an event you don’t want to miss. While many won’t be able to attend the event in person we’ll have updates, photos, and more for you on the A Christmas Snow facebook page so be sure to check it out next weekend and the following week.

Catherine Mary Stewart, Muse Watson, Anthony Tyler Quinn, Cameron ten Napel, Danny Cahill, Jim Stovall, Chad Gundersen, and Tracy J Trost will all be at the Premiere and walking the Red Carpet along with local celebrities as well.

It’s sure to be a great event and just a few days later Trost Moving Pictures and the Emmy Award-winning Narrative Television Network will begin filming their next project, The Lamp which is based on the book by best-selling author Jim Stovall who wrote, The Ultimate Gift and the Novelization of A Christmas Snow. Trost Moving Pictures Announce
A Christmas Snow WINS Best Feature Film
At XP Media International Film Festival

Tulsa, OK ~  A Christmas Snow, a film that was made entirely in Tulsa, Oklahoma on an independent budget, won Best Feature Film in the Drama category, at the XP Media International Film Festival on Saturday.  A Christmas Snow is widely and enthusiastically being embraced by audiences everywhere. The director of the inspiring film, Tracy J Trost brings us a heartwarming tale of faith, family, and forgiveness.

Starring Catherine Mary Stewart, Muse Watson, Anthony Tyler Quinn and Cameron ten Napel, A Christmas Snow will be available in stores and online on October 8, 2010.

When asked about the award Trost commented, “It’s always an honor to be recognized by your peers and it’s a testament to the incredible cast and crew of ‘A Christmas Snow‘. This award is all of ours and I was happy to represent the team.”

In addition to the award was a $2,500 cash prize, which Trost promptly donated back to the festival instructing them to create the Muse Watson Scholarship for next year with an award for Best Up & Coming Actor in order to help those just getting in the business.

The multi award-winning Trost also sat on the directors panel for a Q & A and discussion session along with director David Nixon (Letters to God) and actor/producer/director Corbin Bernsen (Rust).

This is Trost’s second award winning film, his high-energy thriller Find Me established his skills as a director, winning several awards including Best Feature.

For Kathleen, (Catherine Mary Stewart) Christmas has always been an unwelcome reminder of her father’s abandonment almost 30 years ago. The Family Film: A Christmas Snow Publicity Tour

That’s right, we’re putting the “Family” back in Family Film later this month, when Tracy J Trost (Co-writer and Director of A Christmas Snow) and myself (Joe Jestus) will be traveling the country with our families in 2 RVs for the A Christmas Snow publicity tour. The Trost Moving Pictures Family RV Caravan will travel over 7,000 miles when all is said and done and have visited almost 20 states.

We’ll be visiting TV stations, Radio stations, newspapers, and websites with our families as we proudly wear the hat of A Christmas Snow the movie ambassadors and share the heartwarming story of forgiveness and reconciliation that Catherine Mary Stewart, Muse Watson, Anthony Tyler Quinn, Cameron ten Napel, and the rest of the cast brought to life.

We’ve made a page here on the A Christmas Snow site where you can see where we’re tweeting from, look at pictures, and even videos from along the way. Plus, if you’re on facebook you can comment right on the page and tell us what you like (or don’t like), ask questions, or just let us know if we might see you at an upcoming stop.

Recap of the 2nd Public Screening at ICRS

Catherine Mary Stewart on the Big Screen at ICRS

First off, I want to thank the hundreds of ICRS attendees who came by Tuesday night to see the 2nd Public Screening of A Christmas Snow starring Catherine Mary Stewart, Muse Watson, Cameron ten Napel, and Anthony Tyler Quinn. It was great to see you all there and to watch the film with you.

For Tracy J Trost the director of the film and myself it was an interesting time. We are proud of the work that everyone did in making A Christmas Snow. The cast and crew were incredible and they have worked together to make a wonderful and heartwarming family Christmas film. At the same time, it’s always a bit nerve racking to share it with others. The big difference at ICRS too, was that it was screening for the first time to people who really weren’t connected to us or the project in any way. Our first screening was with the crew, family, friends, and fans of the cast and while it’s always good to get great reviews from those groups you still wonder what a crowd of strangers would say.

With that said, Tracy took the stage, loosened up the crowd a little, gave away a screener copy, and then the lights went down. The movie started and it looked amazing on the big screen, a testament to the thousands of hours of work the crew put into making it. I probably watched the crowd more than the film and as time passed, the laughs started, and to our surprise even more laughs. The audience laughed more than at our first screening, we were relieved.

If you were following us on twitter at: twitter.com/TMPics you would have gotten the update about whether or not I should tell them the tears will start soon. I didn’t tell them… and they started. I watched as person after person began to wipe tears from their eyes as the movie came to a close. It was an incredible feeling and such a wonderful experience. I wish you could have all been there.

For us at Trost Moving Pictures our goal is simple, I’m looking forward to the emails, tweets, posts, and letters from those who have seen A Christmas Snow and were so moved, that this Christmas they contacted their mom, dad, daughter, son, brother, sister, or whoever and made an effort to restore a relationship that was previously lost. It’s not about sales or charts (although those can be nice), for us… for me… my number one goal is a book of stories, of lives changed and families, friends, and relationships restored. I hope you will join with us on this adventure and I thank you for coming with us already so far.

Did you know there are 13 million blind or visually impaired Americans? Have you ever thought about how they might be able to enjoy a movie or TV show like you? The next time you’re watching your favorite TV show or movie, close your eyes and listen, it doesn’t take long before you get lost and miss things that are only given with visual cues.

So what’s the solution? Thankfully, our friend and best selling author Jim Stovall and his team at the Emmy Award-winning Narrative Television Network have been working tirelessly to remedy the situation for years. Even more rewarding for us at Trost Moving Pictures is the fact that A Christmas Snow will be able to be enjoyed by our 13 million visually impaired or blind audience members because of the work that Jim and his team are doing.

Inside every DVD of A Christmas Snow will be an insert (see above) describing that there is a, “Narrated for the Blind” audio track and how you can activate it on your copy of the movie. A Huge Success at Biola!

As many of you know, Trost Moving Pictures the studio behind A Christmas Snow was the sponsor of the VIP Dinner at the Biola Media Conference on the CBS Studios lot this last weekend.

TMP and Destiny Image Films were in attendance to show the Extended Trailer and talk about the projects we are working on beyond A Christmas Snow.

The trailer was well received and writer/director Tracy J Trost had the crowd laughing with his usual jovial demeanor. And that’s exactly why TMP was proud to be a part of this event. It is our desire to bring a different aire to the film and media world and to leave a lasting impression on all those we meet.

Whether it’s creating a great atmosphere on set or getting a group of industry insiders laughing, we aim to serve others with the talents we’ve been given and we thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Biola this year, so much so that we told them to put us down next year as the dinner sponsors again. Trost Moving Pictures is proud to announce that they will be sponsoring the VIP Dinner at this year’s 2010 Biola Media Conference, “World’s Collide”. During the VIP Dinner, Trost Moving Pictures president and founder Tracy J Trost will be presenting the newest trailer for their upcoming film, A Christmas Snow to the VIPs in attendance.

The Biola Media Conference, now in it’s 15th year is known as one of the most inspirational and cutting edge media conferences around. A Christmas Snow at 2010 Gideon Film Festival

Trost Moving Pictures, the studio behind A Christmas Snow, a moving film about forgiveness and redemption announced this last week that they will be screening the film for the first time publicly at the Gideon Media Arts and Film Festival on Sunday, June 6, 2010.

The Gideon Media Art and Film Festival is held at the Lifeway Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain, NC and was chosen for the first public screening of A Christmas Snow by Trost Moving Pictures for it’s intimate atmosphere and collection of industry movers and shakers.

The Producer of Distribution and Marketing for Trost Moving Pictures, Joe Jestus has this to say about the announcement, “We couldn’t be happier to be working with Rodney and the incredible crew at Gideon, we are pleased to be a part of their event with the screening of A Christmas Snow and the awarding of our $10,000 Raw Talent Contest Screenplay Prize as well.
