Actor Muse Watson Dedicated To Giving Back To His Community, Returning to East Tennessee On Friday December 17th For Several Special Events
Los Angeles, CA ~ Actor Muse Watson is one of the fortunate people – he is living his dream. He is working his chosen profession and has received professional recognition from his peers for the 55 films and numerous television shows he has appeared in. Having enjoyed much success he is still very connected to East Tennessee. He has a second home in Roane County, and along with his wife and daughter, is actively involved in the community.
Watson will be ‘home for Christmas’ beginning in Knoxville on December 17th to kick off several days of charitable and special events and to promote his latest feature film, A Christmas Snow that will premiere on Comcast’s Channel 15 in Harriman, TN.
The television premiere of A Christmas Snow in Harriman is part of Watson’s dream to bring family entertainment to the Princess Theater, Arts Education and Conference Center, including the new Harriman/Roane State, Channel 15 Television Station. Watson is co-founder of the dream.
A Christmas Snow will air several times during Christmas week on Comcast Channel 15. You can also go to www.AChristmasSnow.com to view all television broadcast dates and read more about the film, book and soundtrack.
In support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee, Watson will be at Borders West Town on Saturday December 18th from 2-3pm. He will join Al Williams, author of the new BBBSETN book “A Friend Indeed: A Golden Key Adventure”, and his good friend Bill Landry and will be signing copies of “A Christmas Snow”.
Reviving a holiday tradition, Watson and his family will lend a helping hand to The Angel Tree, an organization near and dear to his heart, by preparing bags of gifts for thousands of needy children. The Watson family will also use The Angel Tree’s gift wrapping service at West Town Mall, where donations fund the purchase of special toys as well as over 500 bicycles a year. While at West Town Mall, the Watson’s will take a family photo with Santa Claus, as Santa there is actually “kin”. www.angeltree.info
Equally comfortable on the theater stage as he is in front of the camera, Muse Watson first gained notice with strong performances on stage that helped pave the way for a feature film and television career. His diverse roles in Sommersby, Something to Talk About, Assassins, & Rosewood brought him mainstream recognition but it was the villainous “Ben Willis” in the trendy thriller “I Know What You Did Last Summer” films and “C.W.” in “From Dusk Till Dawn 2″ that propelled him in the limelight as a chameleonic actor. He made equally impressionable appearances in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Sundance Film Festival award-winner Songcatcher, challenging himself by playing unique characters. His latest film, “A Christmas Snow”, is available in stores now and he recently wrapped filming “The Lamp” co-starring Lou Gossett Jr., L. Scott Caldwell and Jason London which is scheduled to release in Spring 2011.
Transitioning to the small screen, Watson delivered stellar performances in a variety of roles as a guest on Criminal Minds, CSI, Ghost Whisperer, The Mentalist, Castle, Saturday Night Live, and many others, with memorable recurring roles as “Mike Franks” in the number one drama NCIS and “Charles Westmoreland” in the Emmy and Golden Globes nominated & People’s Choice Awards – winner Prison Break.
